ESPEC at Automotive Testing Expo North America 2026

Friday, October 23 2026

If you're building a floor plan for Automotive Testing Expo North America, add stand T1318 to it. We'll be at the Vibe Credit Union Showplace in Novi, October 27 through 29, part of the new Vehicle Tech Week North America. Organizer figures put the show at more than 3,000 industry professionals and over 250 solution providers.

We've been at this show every year since 2022, and Novi is about two and a half hours from our headquarters in Hudsonville. This is as close to a home show as our calendar gets.

What We're Bringing to Novi

We're bringing a battery test chamber configured for a motorsport application, which puts the safety architecture and thermal control demands of high-performance battery work in front of you rather than in a spec sheet.

The stand is staffed by our Michigan team and Midwest reps, the people working closest to the programs running in this region. If you've talked with us at prior Novi shows, you'll find familiar faces ready to get into specifics.

Come with a testing problem rather than a general question. Chamber selection, application fit, program planning, whether your current setup can answer what your validation plan is asking of it. That's the conversation we come here for.

Schedule a pre-show consultation to talk through your program before the floor opens.

Testing Across the Automotive Lifecycle

Automotive validation doesn't follow a single template. You might be qualifying a power electronics module at the component level, running full-vehicle hot and cold climate testing, validating a battery pack under charge and discharge stress, or trying to surface intermittent connector failures that only appear under combined thermal and vibration load.

Each phase asks something different from the equipment. Our automotive standards and testing guidance covers requirements in more depth if you want to review specifics before the show.

Full-vehicle and drive-in capability

When your program calls for full-vehicle testing, component-level chambers don't answer the question. Our drive-in and walk-in chambers are sized for complete vehicle platforms, with chassis dynamometer and four-post road simulator integration available.

That lets your team replicate the thermal environments a production vehicle sees across its operating life and capture performance data from the vehicle as a system, rather than reconstructing system behavior from component results.

Battery, EV, and charging validation

EV and battery validation is now a significant share of the workload in most automotive test labs, and the demands are specific. Charge and discharge cycling puts thermal loads on a chamber that static temperature holds never do.

Our battery test chambers are purpose-built for those conditions, including the safety architecture lab managers need when working with high-energy cells and packs. For teams working to UN/DOT 38.3, IEC 62660-2, or SAE J2464, the chamber configuration matters as much as the temperature range.

HALT and HASS for accelerated reliability

HALT pushes your design past its specified operating limits under combined thermal and vibration stress to find failure modes before the product ships. HASS then uses the limits HALT establishes to screen production units for manufacturing defects and supply chain drift.

The Qualmark HALT and HASS platform is part of ESPEC, and it's what automotive reliability engineers reach for when conventional qualification schedules move slower than the program does.

Standards Your Program Has to Answer To

Automotive programs run against specific standards, and your test data has to hold up when a customer audit arrives.

LV 124 defines the low-voltage component validation requirements most German OEM supply chains reference. Your climate and thermal cycling data has to satisfy its voltage, temperature, and humidity parameters or the qualification record won't stand. AEC-Q200 covers passive component stress qualification for automotive-grade electronics with defined test conditions your chambers need to hit reliably and repeatably.

ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation means your calibration records carry a documented chain of custody. When an OEM asks for traceability, certificates tied to a 17025-accredited provider answer that directly. We offer field calibration, so your chamber doesn't have to leave the lab to stay current. That matters when throughput is tight and pulling a chamber for off-site service creates a scheduling problem.

ISO 9001 covers the quality management system behind how chambers are designed and built, which supports your own audit readiness when you need to show auditors your equipment came from a qualified manufacturer.

What Happens After the Chamber Is Delivered

The chamber arriving at your dock is the beginning of the relationship, not the end of it. Installation, commissioning, training, calibration, and preventive maintenance all come after delivery, and the quality of that support determines whether your lab stays productive across a five or ten year horizon.

ESPEC Corp. is the world's largest company dedicated exclusively to environmental test chambers. Service, calibration, and training are all pointed at one market rather than split across a product catalog. Our service team's entire focus is keeping environmental test equipment running, and that shows in how they respond and what they know.

Find Us at Booth T1318

Automotive Testing Expo North America runs October 27 through 29 at the Vibe Credit Union Showplace in Novi. The show is part of Vehicle Tech Week North America, which puts multiple automotive development programs under one roof for the week.

Our Michigan team is at booth T1318 all three days. This is close to home for us and we treat it that way. Fewer handoffs, more direct conversations, and the people you're talking to can usually answer your technical question on the spot instead of following up later.

Schedule time before the show opens through our contact form and we'll confirm something that fits your priorities. The floor gets busy, and a scheduled meeting means you get the conversation you came for.
